I really enjoy the kind of interactivity in projects such as Puppet Parade, which is an installation created by Design I/O. I love this one because it allows many people to interact with it at once and interact with each other through it. It also has very quirky but visually appealing visuals. I like how exciting and fun it looks, and I also like how silly it is. It reminds me of the puppet interactive thing at the Pittsburgh Children’s Museum, which I always enjoyed more than many of the other interactive exhibits there.

For Puppet Parade, the choice to have some motions through food up for the birds and other motions control the birds really enhances the project. There’s a lot of subtlety too, like in how the angle of the bird’s head changes based on the hand position of the “puppeteer”.
