I appreciated this work of motion art because of the tightly choreographed moves of the dancer, which made it seemed like he was flying or climbing on the moving landscape. The minimalistic background was also very beautiful because it captured a variety of feelings very effectively and simply. The black portal, the rising black tower and a feeling of reaching somewhere. The black cones and a feeling of curiosity and wonder. I think it would have been more spectacular if the attention had been more focused on the dance and the story rather than the “trick,” of showing how the dancer moved through space via clever orientation of cameras. However, the atmosphere, simple color palette, and expression were all very moving.
