INFERNO by Bill Vorn and Louis-Philippe Demers

Inferno from Louis-Philippe Demers on Vimeo.

INFERNO creates an uncanny and unfamiliar space for the audience to participate as pawns in the performance. The work stems from the concept of the “circles of hell” and explores uncharted territories of control. Artists, Bill Vorn and Louis-Philippe Demers, work frequently with robots in their practice, and in this case developed an extensive set of their own fabricated robots for this specific spectacle. This project begins a conversation on coerced interaction and offers a different perspective on audience participation in formal work and practice.
