glass

With 3D printing becoming more popular as technology advances, people are constantly looking for various application for the technology. Various groups at MIT and the Wyss Institute at Harvard University have developed a glass blowing platform that can print glass in various shapes and colors. While it can be used to make simple things such as cups or bowls, there is talk about using this technology in the field of architecture. One of the risks of using this material for building structure is that the glass itself is not the sturdiest material ever. However, from an economical standpoint, it is actually rather affordable, so perhaps cheap houses could be made from this glass.
